Tonight we went to the Mayson Gallery inaugural inauguration “Launch” featuring works by Doug Henders, Scott Hewett, Michael Oatman, Jeff Quinn, Bastienne Schmidt, and Rodger Stevens. It was way too crowded to see the works, but it was fun. Particularly because we enjoyed dinner at almost next door Jin Japanese restaurant.
But we wish we were at another art inauguration: IVAM`s Claudio Zirotti.
My dear friend and mentor presents “Without Time” (PDF), an excellent exhibit of his wonderful art at Valencia`s IVAM Modern Art Institute, until February 19th 2012.
Pretty amazing: I am putting out fires with a customer in Colombia, with the help of an engineer in Japan, coordinated with the headquarters in Spain… while sipping on a coconut white bubble tea at Argo Union Square.
After arriving in JFK in the most predictable way (rain, snow, traffic or whatever) which is the combo E line + AirTrain, and boarding on a “last call” although I arrived early enough (due to the never-ending security lines, and the abnormal amount of passengers with special needs such as many small children in strollers, large hand-luggage, senior citizens, etc) I finally arrive at my seat on the flight New York – Rio de Janeiro, and I see it is occupied by… Rolls Royce car keys, with a Rolls Royce keyring.

Does this post start to sound like an HSBC ad? I spend too much time in airports!
Vegan Korean teahouse and restaurant Franchia. And leave turkeys alone.
PS: This morning I missed Macy`s Thanksgiving Parade because I miscalculated the angle. From my living room, the Empire State Building blocks the view, and from the sun deck (50th floor), being 2 streets to the East and 5 to the South made the viewing impossible. Next year, better to go to Central Park in the morning.
Breakfast: Au Bon Pain, Le Pain Quotidien, and Europa Cafe.

On Sunday October 9th we went to NY. Travel went smoothly and without anecdotes. We arrived, left things in the hotel (with its spectacular penthouse lounge that we had no time to visit) and we went for dinner (all the restaurants visited, here). Without exaggeration, from Monday 10 to Tuesday 18, virtually the entire time we were looking for apartments, visiting flats with and without agent, meeting with real estate agents, collecting information for signing the lease … and the first thing we noticed is that without a local phone, it was all much more difficult.
