I used to think that a travel would much more interesting the more anecdotes and curious things happened on it. But as years go by, one learns the pleasure of a relaxed journey, of a memorable trip for the sake of it. This quick business trip to Salvador do Bahia (Brazil) has been one of those… almost.
I stayed at one “has-been” old-glory hotel (formerly belonging to Le Meridien), with a movie-set location: at the very tip of the peninsula, sea on both sides, and an absolutely stunning view from my 22nd floor room.
After arriving in JFK in the most predictable way (rain, snow, traffic or whatever) which is the combo E line + AirTrain, and boarding on a “last call” although I arrived early enough (due to the never-ending security lines, and the abnormal amount of passengers with special needs such as many small children in strollers, large hand-luggage, senior citizens, etc) I finally arrive at my seat on the flight New York – Rio de Janeiro, and I see it is occupied by… Rolls Royce car keys, with a Rolls Royce keyring.
Back in Chicago for a day. Delayed flight out of NY JFK (air traffic), cloudy and windy in Windy City (whats new), work, work, work, and cancelled flight out of OHare due to…wind. Shit. Stuck in the airport most of the night, waiting for the next flight out.
At least I got a taste of the Tesla Roadster… only to discover it is too small for me!

Does this post start to sound like an HSBC ad? I spend too much time in airports!
Vegan Korean teahouse and restaurant Franchia. And leave turkeys alone.
PS: This morning I missed Macy`s Thanksgiving Parade because I miscalculated the angle. From my living room, the Empire State Building blocks the view, and from the sun deck (50th floor), being 2 streets to the East and 5 to the South made the viewing impossible. Next year, better to go to Central Park in the morning.

Walking on 8th Ave., I find this amazing signs on a lawyer`s office window (NO COMMENT):
