On Friday we were invited to board Silversea’s Silver Spirit, to sail for the following nine nights, around the Iberian Peninsula calling at: Barcelona, Palamos, Palma de Mallorca, Valencia, Cartagena, Malaga, Cadiz (two days), and Lisbon.
Before returning home, we spent a day in Athens with two highlights: the National Archaeological Museum, and Ta Karamanlidika tou Fani Meze Restaurant (Καραμανλίδικα του Φάνη).
The day before last day of our cruise, we docked in Mykonos, and spent the day in Delos.
The fifth day of our cruise, we anchored in Thera (Thira - Θήρα in Greek) or Santorini, how it used to be known, and visited Oia, Pyrgos, and Firas.
The fourth day of our cruise, we docked in Agios Nikolaos (Crete) and visited the Palace Complex of Minos at Knossos.
The third day of our cruise we docked in Rhodes, and visited Lindos.
The second day of our cruise things got historically interesting as we visited Ephesus.
