January 28-30th I spent a couple of days in Bucharest (Romania).

I stayed in The Grand Hotel Continental, built on the grounds of the former Grand Hotel Broft and considered a historic monument. The hotel has 53 rooms overlooking Calea Victoriei, decorated in different styles: Renaissance, Baroque, Empire, Ludovic XV…

The trip itself was for meeting the Romanian Secretary of State for Health. Other than that, lots of working in my hotel room (the wifi was excellent), and a night stroll to enjoy the city’s palatial architecture.
