December 15th I traveled from Vancouver to Shanghai to present at the WoWo-Fosun Protechting Innovation event.

Upon arrival I boarded the Maglev Train at the Shanghai Pudong International Airport. 300 Km/h, downtown in 8 minutes. Awesome.

I stayed at the Renaissance Shanghai Yu Garden Hotel, which has a robot assistant that delivers items you bought in their convenience online store directly to your room. The breakfast was also quite nice. But what I liked the most was the location, right next to one of my favorite gardens: Yu Garden, which was my first stop as soon as I got up.

Yuyuan Garden (豫園, or Garden of Happiness) was first built in 1559 during the Ming Dynasty, and it is an extensive Chinese garden located beside the City God Temple in the northeast of the Old City of Shanghai at Huangpu Qu. It encompasses the Yuyuan Tourist Mart, the Huxinting Teahouse and the Yu Garden Bazaar. Take a look at the pictures. It’s amazing.

After that, and on my way to the event, I stopped at the Rockbund Art Museum (RAM). I visited a weak Hugo Boss Asia Art 2019 exhibition. But art is always worth it, so no complains.

The event I was invited to, the WoWo-Fosun Protechting Innovation event, was heald at the Hyatt on the Bund Shanghai. After the event, I headed to the Tea Room, to have a business tea with a Finnish partner.

The evening stroll by The Bund, back to my hotel, was spectacular!

Before I retired for the day, I stopped at Superman Toy store at the Yu Garden Bazaar, anime figure heaven!
