March 25 Google NY invited me to their Google Cloud Platform presentation in their Chelsea offices, 8 blocks away from my apartment.
Besides the interesting new features (here are the videos), and the delicious and healthy lunch buffet, I networked quite a lot, and had a few laughs about the highest concentration of Google Glasses per person I have seen so far. One thing is clear: genomics, which is one of the main things my two companies deal with, and the cloud, are closely related, and they will be even more in the near future.
Here are my travel destinations for the next three months (I`m afraid Asia will have to wait until Autumn):
Santiago (Chile) Buenos Aires (Argentina) Montevideo (Uruguay) New York (USA) Madrid (Spain) Nice (France) London (UK) Stuttgart (Germany) Basel (Switzerland) Valencia (Spain) Marseille (France) Genoa (Italy) Rome (Italy) Palermo (Italy) La Goulette (Tunisia) Palma de Mallorca (Spain) Barcelona (Spain) Stockholm (Sweden)

Since I have been a few weeks without being able to post anything for several reasons (health, family, work, blog migration…), I am going to catch up “all at once”, writing in a couple of posts two month`s worth of activity.
February 23 to 26 my wife and I attended the healthcare tech trade show HIMSS, in Orlando, FL (USA).
We got a huge room at the Marriott Royal Palms, but we could not enjoy the city much due to work.
Actually, a couple people told me “Whats up with your blog? you havent posted anything for ages, and the categories are broken”. But other than that, nobody noticed, or cared, or both. Which is weird because on the other hand, my Google+ page is about to hit a million visits, and my LinkedIn profile is in the top 5%… :S
Oh, well. The truth is, the blog was indeed messed up because of a quick server migration, and I had not posted anything in a long time because I am insanely busy.

This has been a hard winter in North America. Snow, ice, flurries, sleet… But today I got to enjoy the beach (Waverly beach – Lake Erie, Canada) in a way I had never experienced before: walking over water…. frozen water.
